Who we are
We believe in collective action, self-sufficiency, and supporting each other outside of traditional capitalist systems. By building networks of care, skill-sharing, and economic alternatives, we are creating a more resilient, connected, and empowered community.
What We Do
The Barter & Skill-Share Network – A system where goods, services, and knowledge are exchanged without relying on cash.
Food & Resource Cooperative – Ensuring access to fresh, locally-sourced food and essential goods through community-driven distribution.
Community Building & Advocacy – Creating safe spaces for progressive conversations, skill-building, and direct action that strengthens our region.
Alternative Economic Models – Exploring and implementing sustainable economic alternatives that reduce dependence on exploitative systems.
Vision
We envision a future where Community. comes before Profit, where people have the resources they need to thrive, and where cooperation replaces competition as the foundation of our local economy. By reclaiming traditional forms of trade, Knowledge-sharing , and Mutual Support, we are building a movement that Prioritizes people over Profit.
Mission
Our mission is to foster a culture of cooperation, sustainability, and mutual aid in Southern Kentucky. Through grassroots organizing, barter economies, and community-led initiatives, we aim to provide real alternatives that uplift and sustain people—especially those most marginalized by traditional economic structures.
